Filter in Battle

Filter reduces the damage the Pokemon takes from super effective moves by 25%, changing the multiplier from the standard 2x to 1.5x (or from 4x to 3x for double weaknesses). This provides consistent damage reduction specifically against the Pokemon's type disadvantages.

The ability functions identically to Solid Rock and Prism Armor. It only affects the type effectiveness multiplier — neutral and resisted moves deal their normal damage. The reduction applies after all other damage calculations, making it a reliable defensive tool.

Filter is found on Mr. Mime, its pre-evolution Mime Jr., and Revavroom. For Mr. Mime, with its Psychic/Fairy typing and multiple common weaknesses (Steel, Poison, Ghost), Filter provides meaningful damage reduction against frequently encountered threats. The ability allows these Pokemon to survive hits that would otherwise knock them out, providing additional strategic flexibility.
