Armor Tail in Battle

Armor Tail prevents all opposing Pokemon from using priority moves against the Pokemon with this ability and its allies. Priority moves include attacks like Quick Attack, Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, and Extreme Speed, as well as status moves with increased priority such as Protect and Prankster-boosted moves.

This protection extends to the Pokemon's partner in double battles, making Armor Tail valuable for shielding teammates from priority-based revenge killing. The ability does not prevent the opposing Pokemon from selecting priority moves — it causes them to fail when targeting the protected side of the field.

Armor Tail is exclusive to Farigiraf, the Normal/Psychic-type evolution of Girafarig introduced in Generation IX. It functions similarly to Queenly Majesty and Dazzling, and the three abilities share the same effect of blocking priority moves.
