Grass Pelt

Grass Pelt boosts the Pokemon's Defense stat by 1.5x while Grassy Terrain is active on the field. The Pokemon must be grounded to benefit from this boost, as airborne Pokemon are not affected by terrain.

The Defense increase is substantial, effectively adding 50% more physical bulk whenever Grassy Terrain is present. Combined with Grassy Terrain's own effects (1/16 HP recovery per turn for grounded Pokemon and 1.3x boost to Grass-type moves), the Pokemon receives both defensive and sustain benefits from the terrain.

Grass Pelt is found on Skiddo and Gogoat, the Grass-type mount Pokemon introduced in Generation VI. To reliably benefit from Grass Pelt, these Pokemon typically need a teammate with Grassy Surge (such as Rillaboom or Tapu Bulu) or must use the move Grassy Terrain themselves. Without active Grassy Terrain, the ability provides no benefit.
