Zen Mode

Zen Mode is an exclusive ability that triggers form changes for Darmanitan based on its current health status. When Darmanitan's HP drops to 50% or below of its maximum, it automatically transforms into Zen Mode at the end of the turn. Conversely, when its HP rises above the 50% threshold, it reverts to Standard Mode after the turn concludes. This transformation occurs consistently after each turn, making it a predictable but strategic element in battle planning.

The form change brings significant stat redistributions that drastically alter Darmanitan's battle role. In Standard Mode, Darmanitan functions as a physical powerhouse with exceptional Attack stats, while Zen Mode shifts it toward a more balanced or specially-oriented approach with different stat allocations and typing changes. This creates interesting strategic considerations, as players must account for both forms when building teams around or against Darmanitan.

Competitively, Zen Mode presents both opportunities and challenges. The ability allows Darmanitan to potentially surprise opponents by changing its offensive capabilities mid-battle, but the HP threshold requirement means players cannot manually control when the transformation occurs.
