Air Lock
Gen IIIWhile this Pokémon is in battle, weather can still be in play, but will not have any of its effects. This ability functions identically to Cloud Nine.
Air Lock in Battle
Air Lock suppresses the effects of all weather conditions while the Pokemon with this ability is on the field. Rain, sun, sandstorm, and hail may still be technically active, but none of their effects — such as damage boosts, type immunities, or residual damage — will apply as long as Air Lock is in play.
This ability is exclusive to Rayquaza and functions identically to Cloud Nine. It does not remove the weather itself; it merely negates all weather-related effects. This means that weather-dependent abilities like Swift Swim, Sand Rush, or Solar Power will not activate, and moves like Solar Beam will require their normal charge turn.
If the Pokemon with Air Lock leaves the field, all active weather effects immediately resume. The ability is particularly valuable for neutralizing weather-based strategies without needing to set up a different weather condition in return.
