Hadron Engine
Gen IXTurns the ground into Electric Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle. The futuristic engine within the Pokémon also boosts its Sp. Atk stat on Electric Terrain.
Hadron Engine in Battle
Hadron Engine automatically sets Electric Terrain when the Pokemon enters battle and additionally boosts the user's Special Attack by approximately 1.33x while Electric Terrain is active. This dual effect provides both field control and a personal offensive boost simultaneously.
The Electric Terrain set by Hadron Engine follows the standard five-turn duration and provides all normal terrain effects: 1.3x boost to Electric moves for grounded Pokemon and sleep prevention. The Special Attack boost is exclusive to the Hadron Engine user and persists for as long as Electric Terrain is present, whether set by this ability or by any other source.
Hadron Engine is the signature ability of Miraidon, the Electric/Dragon-type Legendary Pokemon introduced in Generation IX. Combined with Miraidon's already exceptional base 135 Special Attack, the terrain-boosted Special Attack makes its Electric-type moves extraordinarily powerful. The self-setting terrain means Miraidon requires no support to activate its full offensive potential.
