Dazzling in Battle

Dazzling prevents opposing Pokemon from successfully using priority moves against the Pokemon with this ability or its allies. Priority moves — including Quick Attack, Extreme Speed, Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Bullet Punch, and Prankster-boosted status moves — will fail when targeting the Dazzling Pokemon's side of the field.

The protection extends to partner Pokemon in double battles, making Dazzling a valuable team-wide anti-priority shield. The ability does not prevent opponents from selecting priority moves; it causes them to fail upon execution. Moves with negative priority, such as Trick Room, are not affected.

Dazzling is the signature ability of Bruxish, the Water/Psychic-type Pokemon introduced in Generation VII. It functions identically to Queenly Majesty (Tsareena) and Armor Tail (Farigiraf). The ability is particularly useful against fast offensive teams that rely on priority moves for revenge killing.
