Hospitality
Gen IXWhen the Pokémon enters a battle, it showers its ally with hospitality, restoring a small amount of the ally's HP.
Hospitality in Battle
Hospitality restores 1/4 of an ally Pokemon's maximum HP when the Pokemon with this ability enters the field. The healing applies immediately upon entry, before any other actions in the turn. In singles, the ability has no effect since there is no ally to heal.
The HP restoration is a flat 25% of the ally's maximum HP and activates every time the Hospitality Pokemon switches in, making it repeatedly useful throughout a battle. This healing is not affected by Heal Block, as it comes from an ability rather than a healing move.
Hospitality is found on Poltchageist and Sinistcha, the Grass/Ghost-type tea ceremony Pokemon introduced in Generation IX. In competitive doubles, the ability provides valuable passive recovery to a partner Pokemon simply by switching in. It pairs particularly well with frail, high-offense allies that appreciate the HP cushion.
