This ability shines particularly when dealing with paralysis, as it not only provides the Speed boost but also completely negates paralysis's usual Speed reduction, effectively turning a debilitating condition into a significant advantage. The boost applies to any major status condition, making it a versatile tool for maintaining offensive pressure even when afflicted.

The ability's competitive applications vary depending on the Pokemon wielding it. Jolteon can leverage Quick Feet to become an extremely fast revenge killer when statused, while Ursaring gains the ability to outspeed threats it normally couldn't after absorbing a status move.
