둔감 (Oblivious)

Oblivious prevents the Pokemon from being infatuated by Attract or the Cute Charm ability, introduced in Generation III. If a Pokemon gains Oblivious while already infatuated, the infatuation is immediately cleared. The ability also grants immunity to Captivate, which would otherwise lower the target's Special Attack.

Starting in Generation VI, Oblivious was expanded to also provide immunity to Taunt, preventing opponents from forcing the user into only using damaging moves. This addition made the ability significantly more valuable competitively, as Taunt immunity allows Oblivious users to freely use support moves like Stealth Rock, status moves, and recovery without interference. In Generation VIII, a further expansion added immunity to Intimidate, preventing the Attack drop upon facing an Intimidate user.

With 25 Pokemon carrying this ability, Oblivious has steadily evolved from a niche anti-infatuation tool to a genuinely useful defensive ability. Key users include Slowbro, Slowking, Mamoswine, and Wailord. The combination of Taunt immunity and Intimidate immunity makes Oblivious Slowbro particularly effective as a defensive setter -- it can switch into Intimidate users without losing Attack and set up hazards or status moves regardless of Taunt pressure.
