리밋실드 (Shields Down)

Shields Down is Minior's signature ability that fundamentally alters how this unique Rock/Flying type functions in battle through its distinctive form-changing mechanic. When Minior enters battle or at the end of any turn, the ability automatically checks its current HP percentage to determine its form. If Minior has 50% or more of its maximum HP remaining, it transforms into its bulky Meteor Form, complete with its protective shell. However, once its HP drops below this threshold, the shell dramatically breaks away to reveal the faster, more offensively-oriented Core Form underneath.

The defensive benefits of Meteor Form extend beyond just higher defensive stats. While maintaining its shell, Minior becomes completely immune to major status conditions like burn, poison, paralysis, freeze, and sleep, though any status ailments inflicted before the transformation remain active. Additionally, moves like Yawn cannot induce drowsiness, and Rest will simply fail when attempted. This status immunity makes Meteor Form particularly valuable for absorbing status-inducing moves that would otherwise cripple sweepers.

The ability's design prevents any form of manipulation, as it cannot be copied by abilities like Trace, replaced through moves like Skill Swap, or nullified by effects like Gastro Acid. This ensures Minior's transformation remains consistent and predictable, allowing trainers to build strategies around the guaranteed form change. In competitive play, this creates interesting risk-reward scenarios where opponents must decide whether to quickly break through Minior's shell or risk facing a potentially devastating Core Form sweep.
