ゴローンは第1世代で登場したいわ/じめんタイプのポケモンです。合計種族値（BST）は390で、がんせきポケモンに分類され、イシツブテ → ゴローン → ゴローニャ → ゴローン（アローラのすがた）の進化系統に属します。
対戦では、ゴローンはVGC tierに位置し、使用率は0.03%です。主な特性はいしあたま と がんじょう と すながくれで、耐久力を備えた信頼できる先発として活躍できます。 ゴローンはみず, くさ, こおり, かくとう, じめん, はがねタイプの技が弱点のため、これらを意識した対策が必要です。
