いかりのつぼ (Anger Point)

Anger Point maximizes the Pokemon's Attack stat to +6 stages whenever it is struck by a critical hit. This dramatic boost can turn a defensive situation into an overwhelming offensive one in a single turn.

The ability activates even if the critical hit is absorbed by a Substitute, making it possible to set up safely behind a Substitute while waiting for the trigger. However, the Pokemon must survive the critical hit for Anger Point to take effect — if the attack knocks it out, the ability does not activate.

Anger Point is found on physically oriented Pokemon like Primeape, Tauros, Krookodile, and Camerupt. In double battles, it can be deliberately triggered by an ally using a high-critical-hit-ratio move like Frost Breath, which always lands a critical hit, allowing for a controlled Attack maximization strategy.
