おみとおし (Frisk)
第IV世代When this Pokémon enters battle, it reveals an opposing Pokémon's held item to all participating trainers. In a double battle, if one opponent has an item, this Pokémon will Frisk that Pokémon; if both have an item, it will Frisk one at random.
対戦中のおみとおし
Frisk reveals the held item of an opposing Pokemon when the user enters battle. The item is announced to all trainers. Starting in Generation VI, Frisk reveals the items of all opposing Pokemon rather than just one, providing complete held-item information immediately upon entry.
Knowing the opponent's item can be strategically significant. It reveals whether an opponent is running a Choice item (locked into one move), a Life Orb (extra damage but HP loss), a Berry (potential recovery), or a defensive item like Leftovers. This information allows for better prediction and decision-making throughout the battle.
Frisk is a widely distributed ability found on 28 Pokemon including Banette, Noivern, Furret, Gothitelle, Trevenant, and Exeggutor. It is most competitively useful on Pokemon that can act on the item information, such as those with Knock Off, Trick, or Switcheroo to remove or swap the revealed item.
