This enhancement applies to the ability user's own attacks as well, making it a team-wide support effect that remains active as long as the Victory Star Pokémon stays on the battlefield.

The accuracy boost is particularly valuable for moves that would otherwise be unreliable in competitive play. Moves like Stone Edge jump from 80% accuracy to 88%, while Thunder and Blizzard improve from 70% to 77%. This consistent improvement can make the difference between landing crucial attacks or missing at critical moments. The effect is especially noticeable with powerful but inaccurate moves, giving teams more reliable access to high-damage options that might otherwise be too risky to depend on.

Victini is the sole possessor of Victory Star, and its unique typing and movepool make it an interesting support option in doubles formats where the team-wide accuracy boost can benefit multiple Pokémon simultaneously. The ability has remained mechanically unchanged since its introduction in Generation 5, maintaining its straightforward but effective design. In singles play, Victory Star primarily benefits the user itself, but the reliability boost can still prove decisive in close matches where every percentage point of accuracy matters.
