Agitation (Hustle)

Hustle increases the power of the Pokemon's physical moves by 1.5x but reduces their accuracy to 0.8x of the base value. Special moves are completely unaffected by both the power boost and the accuracy penalty. This creates a high-risk, high-reward dynamic for physical attackers.

The accuracy reduction means that a move with 100% accuracy drops to 80%, a move with 90% accuracy drops to 72%, and so on. This can be mitigated by accuracy-boosting moves like Hone Claws, items like Wide Lens, or by using moves that bypass accuracy checks (such as Aerial Ace).

Hustle is found on a diverse group of Pokemon including the Nidoran lines, Togekiss (as a Hidden Ability), Deino/Zweilous, and Durant. Prior to Generation V, Hustle also increased the encounter rate of higher-leveled wild Pokemon when the lead Pokemon had this ability. In competitive play, Durant is a notable Hustle user, leveraging its high Speed and Attack to deliver devastating physical hits despite the accuracy trade-off.
