Force Pure (Pure Power)

Pure Power provides a dramatic offensive boost by doubling the wielder's Attack stat during battle, transforming otherwise modest attackers into formidable physical threats. This doubling effect operates independently of traditional stat modifications, meaning it cannot be reversed by moves like Haze or Clear Smog, nor does it count toward the usual stat stage limits. The ability calculates the doubled Attack value after all other modifiers are applied, making it stack multiplicatively with items, stat boosts, and other effects.

The ability is functionally identical to Huge Power, sharing the same mechanics and interactions. This means Pure Power benefits from the same strategic applications, such as combining with Choice Band for quadrupled effective Attack or working alongside stat-boosting moves like Swords Dance for explosive damage potential. The doubled Attack applies to all physical moves, including variable-power attacks and moves that use the user's Attack stat for damage calculation.

Medicham stands as the primary beneficiary of Pure Power in competitive play, where this ability transforms its mediocre base 60 Attack into an effective base 120 Attack stat. This allows Medicham to serve as a potent wallbreaker despite its relatively frail defensive profile. The combination of Pure Power with Medicham's unique Fighting/Psychic typing and access to moves like High Jump Kick creates a niche but dangerous offensive presence that can catch opponents off guard with its surprising damage output.
