Corte Fuerte (Hyper Cutter)

Hyper Cutter prevents other Pokemon from lowering the user's Attack stat through moves or abilities. This means that Intimidate, Charm, Growl, and similar Attack-reducing effects have no impact on a Pokemon with Hyper Cutter. However, the protection only applies to stat stage reductions caused by opponents — self-inflicted Attack drops, such as from the move Superpower, still apply normally. The Attack reduction from a burn is also not prevented, since burns apply a flat multiplier rather than modifying stat stages.

Negative Attack modifiers can still be transferred to this Pokemon through Heart Swap or Power Swap, bypassing Hyper Cutter's protection. In earlier generations, Hyper Cutter also had an overworld effect: starting in Diamond and Pearl, if any party Pokemon had this ability, the radius of the move Cut for clearing tall grass was doubled. Introduced in Generation III, Hyper Cutter is found on 11 Pokemon, including Krabby, Kingler, Mawile, and several crab-like species — fitting the flavor of powerful pincers that refuse to be weakened.
