Lottascudo (Battle Armor)

Battle Armor prevents any moves from landing critical hits against the Pokemon with this ability. Critical hits normally bypass the target's positive Defense or Special Defense stat changes and deal 1.5x damage, so Battle Armor provides consistent defensive reliability by removing this chance entirely.

The ability functions identically to Shell Armor — both completely negate critical hits. Moves with an increased critical hit ratio, such as Slash or Stone Edge, and abilities like Super Luck that raise critical hit chances are all rendered ineffective against a Pokemon with Battle Armor.

Battle Armor is found on Pokemon with a thematic connection to physical protection, including Cubone, Marowak, the fossil Pokemon Kabuto and Kabutops, Anorith and Armaldo, and the scorpion-like Skorupi and Drapion. The ability is particularly valuable on defensive Pokemon that rely on stat boosts, as it prevents opponents from bypassing those boosts with lucky critical hits.
