Battery increases the power of ally Pokemon's special moves by 1.3x in double and triple battles. This boost applies to all special-category moves used by the Pokemon's partner, regardless of type. The user's own moves are not affected by Battery.
The power boost is applied during damage calculation as a multiplier, similar to other ability-based power boosts. It stacks multiplicatively with other damage modifiers such as items, other abilities, and type effectiveness. Battery does not affect physical moves or status moves.
Battery is the signature ability of Charjabug, the Bug/Electric-type Pokemon introduced in Generation VII. Since Charjabug has modest offensive stats on its own, Battery positions it as a supportive partner in doubles, boosting a teammate's special attacks while providing defensive utility with its solid bulk.
