Elettrogenesi (Electric Surge)

Electric Surge automatically sets Electric Terrain when the Pokemon enters battle. Electric Terrain lasts for five turns (eight with Terrain Extender) and boosts Electric-type moves by 1.3x for all grounded Pokemon, while also preventing grounded Pokemon from falling asleep.

The terrain only affects grounded Pokemon — those with Levitate, Flying typing, or held Air Balloon are not affected by either the power boost or the sleep prevention. The sleep immunity is particularly valuable, blocking moves like Spore, Sleep Powder, and Rest for all grounded Pokemon on the field.

Electric Surge is found on Tapu Koko and Pincurchin. Tapu Koko is by far the more notable user, as its high Speed and Electric typing allow it to immediately benefit from the terrain's power boost. The automatic terrain setting makes it a centerpiece of Electric-focused team compositions, enabling terrain-dependent moves like Rising Voltage (which doubles in power under Electric Terrain).
