Dragon's Maw increases the base power of all Dragon-type moves used by the Pokemon by 50%. This substantial boost applies to both physical and special Dragon-type moves, making the Pokemon's Dragon STAB exceptionally powerful.

The 1.5x multiplier stacks with other damage modifiers including STAB (for an effective 2.25x total with Dragon STAB), items like Choice Specs or Choice Band, and type-boosting items like Dragon Fang. This makes Dragon's Maw one of the largest single-ability power boosts available.

Dragon's Maw is the signature ability of Regidrago, the Dragon-type Legendary Pokemon introduced in Generation VIII's Crown Tundra expansion. Combined with Regidrago's high base HP and the raw power Dragon Pulse and Dragon Energy receive from this ability, Regidrago can deal extraordinary Dragon-type damage, particularly with Dragon Energy at full HP.
