Gli strumenti di aumento statistiche aumentano temporaneamente le statistiche di un Pokemon in lotta. Gli strumenti X, come X Attack e X Sp. Def, sono usati soprattutto nelle lotte in gioco, in particolare alla Battle Tower e contro i boss della storia più difficili.

Strumenti X

X Attack, X Defense, X Sp. Atk, X Sp. Def, X Speed e X Accuracy aumentano ciascuno la relativa statistica di uno stadio (+50%). Dire Hit aumenta la probabilità di brutto colpo. Questi strumenti consumano un turno, quindi vanno usati nei turni di setup quando l'avversario non può mandare KO.

Strategia in gioco

Gli strumenti X sono vietati nel multigiocatore competitivo, ma potenti alla Battle Tower e nella storia. Accumulare strumenti X su un Pokemon resistente contro avversari più deboli crea uno sweeper imbattibile. X Speed + X Attack su un attaccante fisico può battere da solo intere squadre.
