Itens de Pokémon são objetos que podem ser usados dentro ou fora de batalha para ajudar Pokémon. Itens segurados fornecem efeitos passivos durante a batalha – de aumentar o poder de um movimento a restaurar HP a cada turno. Entendendo os itens de Pokémon
Os itens da série Pokémon têm diversas funções, de curar sua equipe a fortalecer ataques em batalhas competitivas. Itens segurados, em especial, tornaram-se a base da montagem de equipes competitivas, pois o item certo pode transformar a eficácia de um Pokémon.
Itens segurados competitivos
Os itens segurados mais impactantes no competitivo incluem Leftovers (recupera 1/16 do HP por turno), Choice Band/Specs/Scarf (aumento de 1,5x em atributo, mas limita a um movimento), Life Orb (1,3x de dano ao custo de 10% do HP por ataque) e Eviolite (1,5x em ambas as defesas para Pokémon não totalmente evoluídos). Heavy-Duty Boots evita dano de armadilhas de entrada, sendo essencial para Pokémon fracos a elas.
Itens de evolução
Muitos Pokémon precisam de itens específicos para evoluir. Pedras evolutivas como Fire Stone, Water Stone e Thunder Stone ativam a evolução ao serem usadas em Pokémon compatíveis. Itens segurados em troca como Metal Coat (Scizor), Dragon Scale (Kingdra) e Protector (Rhyperior) causam evolução quando o Pokémon que os segura é trocado.
Mega Stones e Z-Crystals
Mega Stones, introduzidas na Geração VI, permitem que Pokémon específicos Mega Evoluam durante a batalha, recebendo atributos aumentados e, às vezes, novas habilidades ou tipos. Z-Crystals da Geração VII ativam Z-Moves poderosos de uso único. Embora ambas as mecânicas sejam limitadas às suas gerações, seguem importantes em formatos que as permitem.
Berries e itens de recuperação
Berries que reduzem dano de tipo (Yache Berry, Occa Berry etc.) reduzem pela metade o dano de um golpe superefetivo de um tipo específico. Berries de emergência como Sitrus Berry restauram HP quando ele fica abaixo de um limite. Esses itens consumíveis adicionam outra camada de previsão e contra-jogo às batalhas competitivas.
