Plates — предметы для удерживания, усиливающие приёмы определённого типа на 20% и меняющие тип Arceus при удерживании. Изначально существовало 17 Plates для не-обычных типов; они одновременно усиливают тип и являются основой механики смены формы Arceus.
Усиление типа
Каждый Plate повышает силу одного типа на 20%, как предметы усиления типа вроде Charcoal или Mystic Water. Преимущество Plate — связь с Arceus и Judgment, чей тип меняется согласно удерживаемому Plate.
Формы Arceus
Тип и форма Arceus зависят от удерживаемого Plate. Arceus-Ground (Earth Plate), Arceus-Ghost (Spooky Plate) и Arceus-Water (Splash Plate) — одни из важнейших форм в соревновательной игре. В Ubers поколений IV–VII выбор формы Arceus определял команду.
