Power Of Alchemy em Batalha

Power of Alchemy creates unique strategic opportunities by allowing a Pokémon to inherit the ability of any ally that faints during battle. When a teammate is knocked out, the Pokémon with Power of Alchemy immediately gains that fallen ally's ability, potentially transforming its role mid-battle. This ability transfer is permanent for the duration of that battle, meaning the inherited ability will remain active until the Pokémon switches out or the battle ends.

The mechanic works with virtually any ability that can be copied, opening up creative team compositions where powerful abilities can be strategically passed down. For example, a frail Pokémon with a valuable ability like Speed Boost or Protean could be paired with a bulkier Power of Alchemy user, allowing the ability to live on through a more durable vessel. However, certain uncopyable abilities like Disguise or Multitype cannot be inherited through this effect.

Competitively, Power of Alchemy is most notably seen on Alolan Muk, which can leverage its solid bulk and typing to make effective use of inherited abilities. The ability encourages double battle strategies where teammates are deliberately sacrificed to grant powerful abilities to the Power of Alchemy user. While situational, this creates interesting team building puzzles and can catch opponents off-guard when a defensive Poison-type suddenly gains an offensive or utility ability from a fallen partner.
