Poke Balls — основні засоби для ловлі диких Pokemon. Від базового Poke Ball до легендарного Master Ball, кожен тип кулі має різний шанс упіймання й особливі ефекти. Правильний вибір кулі може вирішити, чи впіймаєте ви рідкісного Pokemon.
Механіка шансу упіймання
Кожен Poke Ball має множник шансу упіймання, що застосовується у формулі ловлі. Звичайний Poke Ball має 1×, Great Ball — 1,5×, а Ultra Ball — 2×. Master Ball повністю оминає формулу й гарантує упіймання. Timer Balls і Net Balls мають ситуативні бонуси, що можуть перевершити Ultra Balls.
Змагальна значущість
Хоч Poke Balls не впливають на бої у звичайних змагальних форматах, деякі гравці обирають певні кулі заради вигляду. У грі вибір вигідних куль для кожної ситуації заощаджує гроші й підвищує ефективність під час довгих серій ловлі.
