Самоцвіти — одноразові предмети, які тримають, що підсилюють силу руху певного типу на 30% під час першого використання. Представлені в Поколінні V, вони витрачаються після посиленої атаки. У сучасних іграх можна отримати лише Normal Gem.
Механіка самоцвітів
Кожен Jewel відповідає типу й підсилює перший використаний рух цього типу на 30%. Самоцвіт витрачається після використання. У Поколінні V були доступні всі 18 типів Gems. Починаючи з Покоління VI можна отримати лише Normal Gem.
Змагальна спадщина
Normal Gem + Explosion або Fake Out була популярною стратегією VGC. Flying Gem + Acrobatics добре працювали разом, адже Acrobatics посилюється без предмета. Вилучення більшості Gems у Gen VI суттєво змінило метагейм.
